In: Grooveshark
Out: Pandora
Verdict: As soon as Pandora cut people off after 40 hours of listening (and let's be honest, ATC rats hit that barrier within a week) Grooveshark became the new music provider of choice.

In: Jane Austen (she'll always be in)
Out: Tepid romances and writing in Stephanie Meyer's Twilight
Verdict: Leave the vampires to the tweens!

In: College kid's affinity for sweet house music. Extra points if you like, mixed it yourself bro.
Out: College kid's affinity for jam bands.
Verdict: Music may have changed but penchant for flannel shirt-wearing remains the same.

In: Fist fights and fist pumping on Jersey shore
Out: Girl fights and ostentatious displays of wealth on Laguna Beach
Verdict: Emblematic of a recessionist zeitgeist when what we want to watch on TV are working class juiceheads duking it out? (Hooray for an announced season 2!)

In: Leggings
Out: Sweatpants
Verdict: Cannot stress enough that the leggings are opaque. Ain't nobody wanna see that. In: Uggs with leggings Out: Uggs with Nike shorts Verdict: When a trend has trickled down to middle school, it's time for it to be over among college kids.

In: Double denim (yes it takes skill, but see Jessica Biel in this month's Vogue)
Out: Babydoll dresses
Verdict: But.. babydoll dresses are unparalleled in hiding a beer belly over Spring Party. Maybe we should make an exception in this case?

In: DC
Out: Charlotte, Richmond, Atlanta
Verdict: Did you not notice where seemingly the entire class of 2009 moved?

In: Modern Dave's Café
Out: Papa Ron's
Verdict: Be warned: I've been told Modern Dave's is a little hard on the wallet.
